International Academic
Accreditation & Verification Association
The International Association of Therapists, Medical and other Academic Doctors is a rigorous watchdog organization for integrity in science.is your applicant really a physician?
IAAT has pioneered and established the first international register of physicians.
INDEPENDENT ACCREDITATION
IAAT is an international institution with its headquarters in the United States of America. We ensure the integrity of academia in the United States of America and in more than ninety countries around the world. The main purposes of IAAT are
- providing a cross-border, international registry of fully licensed physicians. Never has such a register been more important than now. Migration creates considerable uncertainties, which we eliminate - at least for our members - and provide certainty as well as security for employers and patients.
- ensure that the education offered by colleges and universities is of a high level of quality. Accrediting agencies, which are private in the United States, develop evaluation criteria and conduct peer evaluations to assess whether those criteria are being met. Institutions that request an evaluation from an agency and meet the agency's criteria are considered "accredited" by that agency. In protest against the implemented merger of regional and national structures, hostile actions against non-‘woke’ entities, as well as a growing totalitarian attitude against the independence of institutions which are critical of any centralization, IAAT refuses to cooperate with the authorities in D.C. for the time being. This is its constitutional right. To this end, IAAT's legal department, under the rigorous leadership of John Ernst, has specialized teams with specific expertise for all states and more than ninety foreign countries. Our databases are being updated on a regular basis.
VALIDATION (forensic)
Under the sharp eyes of IAAT's legal department, we use forensic methods to verify the authenticity of certificates, diplomas and licenses for government agencies, private institutions and companies. Upon request, IAAT provides expert opinions on the authenticity of certificates, licenses and other proofs of qualification. Private individuals can inquire about the status of a service provider at IAAT. The focus is currently 80% on medical academics, as IAAT used to be exclusively active in this field for many years. As a patient, you can ask a new doctor for his or her IAAT number and verify it through our free verification service. This is the easiest way to be on the safe side.

COOPERATION WITH THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY
It has never been a secret, and we stand by it: we support the work of the intelligence services of clearly Western-oriented nations, particularly in North America, Europe, and, to a limited extent, administrations in South America. Likewise, our Jewish members enjoy multiple layers of extra protection as structural anti-Semitism remains a highly virulent problem. Nevertheless, physicians from all over the world who meet our admission criteria are welcome. The only exceptions at this time are citizens of the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, and of Belarus.

who we are
Our Leadership Team.
Artur Adamyan, Ph.D.
President
Academic integrity is a basic prerequisite for any scientific activity. Only where teaching, studying and research are carried out according to the values and rules of good scientific practice the functioning and trustworthiness of scientific institutions can be guaranteed. Due to the very strict regulations on conflicts of interest, Prof. Schuster, who exemplifies these values more than almost anyone else on a daily basis, resigned from his position as president of the IAAT after accepting another honorary position which is extremely close and dear to his heart in the fall of 2022. As his successor, the highly respected general practitioner Artur Adamyan was elected by the IAAT delegates with 97.9% of the votes.
Céline Dubois, M.Sc.
Contact person for non-US members
Céline, an adept and committed professional, holds the responsibility for managing the administration of non-US members within IAAT. She possesses an extensive background in the healthcare domain, evidencing a profound comprehension of the necessities and hurdles encountered by physicians and healthcare providers.
John Ernst
Head of Legal Affairs
John Ernst is IAAT's legal counsel and our accreditation as well as document validation manager. At the same time he is the liaison between the relevant authorities and IAAT. Whenever you have a legal question or concern, please contact him confidentially by simply writing to legal@international-physician-registry.org - We kindly ask for your understanding that the legal department is very busy and answers may therefore take a few days.
Richard Smith, M.D.
Head of Quality Management & Nostrification
We expect our members to never stop continuing their education. We monitor this and withdraw memberships without regard to the person if a member's standard of performance is no longer in line with scientific standards. Every person and every company anywhere in the world will always have the possibility to query the qualifications of our members. We have been able to recruit one of the best quality managers for IAAT in the person of Richard Smith who took over his office from Benjamin Rosenberg in 2022.
Dr. Harald Müller
Director of International Relations and Medical Affairs
Dr. Müller has dedicated his career to improving healthcare access in developing countries. For over two decades, he has traveled extensively to some of the world's poorest regions, focusing on empowering local communities with essential medical knowledge. His work centers on teaching basic healthcare practices, enabling individuals to address minor medical issues independently. This grassroots approach has significantly improved health outcomes in numerous underserved areas. Dr. Müller is renowned for his hands-on workshops and sustainable healthcare initiatives, which have equipped countless individuals with life-saving skills. His commitment to fostering self-reliance in healthcare continues to make a lasting impact on global health.
TRUST IS GOOD. CONTROL IS BETTER.
We safeguard the integrity of medical professionals and other academics.
In an increasingly uncertain world, we all need islands of trust. Being one is our mission. Never before in the history of mankind has there been such a high number of migrant workers, especially among academics. They in particular have a hard time finding the acceptance they deserve from employers, clients, patients or customers in a foreign culture. That's why anyone, from executives to ordinary citizens, can query our manual database to find out whether a particular academic is a member of IAAT, studied at a fully licensed university, what his/her education is, and whether the person is in good standing. Depending on the country, certain data may be subject to privacy protection, but the essential information is available to everyone.
OUR MISSION:
TO BE AN ISLAND OF TRUST
Why we are needed now more than ever.
Trust
A central physicians register is needed in times of open borders, globalization, and telemedicine for several reasons. First, it allows for the easy verification of a physician's qualifications and credentials, ensuring that patients receive safe and appropriate care. Second, it facilitates the sharing of medical information across borders, allowing for better coordination of care for patients who may receive treatment in multiple countries. Third, it enables telemedicine by providing a mechanism for verifying the identity of physicians providing care remotely. Overall, a central physicians register is essential for maintaining high standards of medical care in a globalized and interconnected world.
The global register
With more than 34,000 members (30,000 physicians and 5,000 other academics) worldwide, IAAT maintains a database containing the complete information of its members. Every piece of information, every document, and all records are carefully reviewed in a multi-step process before being accepted by our legal department. Our database is updated on the first day of each month, and academics who fail to notify IAAT of changes in their status within five working days irrevocably lose their membership. To our knowledge, IAAT is the only institution that offers this service across borders, worldwide, and free of charge to both institutional and private enquirers. As an international organization for the protection of academic integrity, we are politically neutral and recognize that different cultures lead to a diversity of political systems and strategies.
Control
IAAT's strict Admissions Policy is in place to ensure that the physicians listed on its central register are highly qualified and have the appropriate credentials to provide safe and effective care. This is of paramount importance, especially in a globalized world where patients may receive treatment in multiple countries. To achieve this goal, IAAT's Admissions Policy is designed to thoroughly vet each applicant, including verifying their education, training, licensure, and professional history. Furthermore, IAAT is actively collaborating with multiple regulatory and intelligence agencies in Europe, East Asia, and Africa to ensure that its central register remains up-to-date and accurate. This is particularly important given the changing nature of the healthcare landscape, which requires constant monitoring and updating of information. By working with these agencies, IAAT is able to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field, and ensure that its central register is always current and reliable. This is done in accordance with the locally relevant data protection rules, to ensure that patients' personal and medical information is protected.

WE ENDORSE
the great idea of OpenWHO
NO ROOM FOR ERRORS
We care for frontline physicians.
Physicians need a robust level of mental resilience. This means maintaining or rapidly restoring mental health during or after stressful events. Thus, resilience does not mean always being free of mental stress or psychological symptoms, but being able to either maintain mental health in response to stress and adverse life circumstances or to return to a mentally healthy state after a relatively short period of mental stress. To keep on eye on this issue is something we expect from our members. We are exceptionally strict in this regard and exclude members who have been proven to be mentally unstable. That may seem harsh, but one would also not let a pilot into a cockpit who has no control over himself and his impulses. Being a doctor is not a normal profession. Of course, we first offer that such a member voluntarily seeks treatment. However, if this does not happen, we will draw the necessary consequences, without regard to personal sensitivities and without compromising on the basis of a person's high profile.
medicine is an art
And a zero tolerance profession.
Safety and vigilance are key
Medicine is a zero tolerance profession with no room for errors. This is because the stakes are high and lives are at risk. Medical practitioners, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, are responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions. They are also responsible for preventing and controlling the spread of disease and promoting overall health and well-being. Errors in the medical field can have serious consequences. A misdiagnosis, for example, can lead to delayed or inadequate treatment, resulting in a worsening of a patient's condition, or even death. Similarly, a medication error can have severe side effects, or even be fatal. To minimize the risk of errors, medical professionals must be highly skilled, knowledgeable, and well-trained. They must also be vigilant and pay close attention to detail at all times. They also have to follow strict protocols and guidelines, and to use evidence-based practices, which are constantly updated as new knowledge and research become available. In addition, the medical profession has a robust system of checks and balances in place to catch errors and prevent them from occurring. These include regular quality assurance reviews, peer evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
EDUCATION
Our own educational program is on hold until 75% of all mankind is vaccinated against Covid-19.
CULTURAL DIVERSITY & RIGOR
Opening doors for excellent physicians from problematic nations.
the rigor of iaat opens doors
IAAT compensates for the weakness of the bureaucracies of problematic countries.
Giving the outcasts a chance
In some countries, the quality of medical education and training may be questionable, and the regulatory oversight of the healthcare system may be lax. This can make it difficult for patients and healthcare providers to know whether a physician is truly qualified and capable of providing safe and effective care. By strictly vetting each applicant and verifying their qualifications and credentials, IAAT's Admissions Policy ensures that only physicians who meet the highest standards are listed on its central register. This rigor is also important in the context of telemedicine and the ability to provide care remotely. It ensures that physicians listed on the register are able to provide the same level of care regardless of location. As a result, patients can have confidence in the quality of care they receive, regardless of whether they are receiving treatment in person or remotely. In summary, the strictness of IAAT's Admissions Policy is necessary to ensure that only highly qualified and credentialed physicians are listed on its central register, and to prevent physicians from countries with a questionable reputation from easily finding their way into other health systems. This helps to protect patients and ensure that they receive safe and effective care.
Opening up new opportunities for good doctors
IAAT's strict Admissions Policy is one way in which it compensates for the reliability issues that may be present in some countries. By thoroughly vetting each applicant and verifying their qualifications and credentials, IAAT ensures that only physicians who meet the highest standards are listed on its central register. This helps to ensure that patients receive safe and effective care, regardless of where they are receiving treatment. In addition to its strict Admissions Policy, IAAT also collaborates with multiple regulatory and intelligence agencies in Europe, East Asia, and Africa to ensure that its central register remains up-to-date and accurate. This enables IAAT to stay abreast of the latest developments in the field and to monitor the quality of care being provided by physicians listed on its central register. Furthermore, IAAT also has a strict policy of continuous monitoring and evaluation of physicians listed on the register. This includes regular check-ups on the physicians' qualifications, educational backgrounds, professional history, and also monitoring of any malpractice cases or disciplinary actions taken against them. This helps IAAT to detect and address any issues that may arise and to ensure that the physicians listed on its central register are providing safe and effective care. In summary, IAAT is compensating for the reliability issues that may be present in some countries through a combination of strict Admissions Policy, continuous monitoring, and collaboration with regulatory and intelligence agencies. This helps to ensure that patients receive safe and effective care, regardless from which IAAT checked doctor they are receiving treatment.

VALUES
We welcome members from all over the world.
We urgently need a deeper dialogue and a broad social consensus on the unconditional protection of human life from its beginning to its end. We increasingly miss an outcry from society and politics when the boundaries between what is technically or medically doable and what is ethically justifiable are crossed.
Medicine is no ‘business’ like any other
Medicine is not a "business" like any other. It is a profession that is dedicated to the health and well-being of individuals and communities. Medical practitioners, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, are responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions. They are also responsible for preventing and controlling the spread of disease and promoting overall health and well-being. Unlike a typical business, the primary goal of medicine is not to make a profit, but to improve the health and quality of life of patients. Medical professionals are bound by strict ethical and legal standards, which govern their practice and ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care. The practice of medicine also involves a significant amount of training and education, as well as ongoing professional development, to ensure that medical professionals are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care to their patients. In short, medicine is not a business like any other, it is a noble profession whose main goal is to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities, driven by the ethic and moral principles.
Healthcare is about life, not lifestyle
Healthcare is about life and death. Shocking but true. It is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all, regardless of their social or economic status. The provision of healthcare services is not just about treating illnesses and injuries, but also about promoting overall health and well-being. In contrast, lifestyle is often associated with personal choices and habits, such as diet and exercise, that can have an impact on an individual's health. While these choices and habits can certainly play a role in maintaining good health, they should not be the sole focus of healthcare. Healthcare should be comprehensive and inclusive, addressing not only the physical aspects of health but also the social, emotional, and mental well-being of individuals. This includes providing access to education and resources, addressing social determinants of health, such as poverty and discrimination, and ensuring that healthcare services are culturally sensitive and responsive. Access to healthcare should not be determined by an individual's lifestyle choices or socioeconomic status. The provision of healthcare services should be based on the principle of equity and ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity to lead a healthy and fulfilling life. Healthcare should be about preserving and enhancing life, not promoting a certain lifestyle. It is a fundamental human right that should be accessible to all, addressing not only the physical aspects of health but also the social, emotional, and mental well-being of individuals in a comprehensive and inclusive way.

EMPATHY
Also soft aspects of medicine are therapeutic.
Everyone knows it, but hardly anyone practices it in the hectic daily routine of a clinic: devotion and empathy. The placebo effect has long been proven to be effective, and the same applies to loving attention. That's why it's called healthCARE. We expect our members to bring this aspect of medicine to life. This doesn't always work in this challenging profession, but more often than one might think.

Select...SAFETY FIRST
Please get vaccinated against Sars-CoV-2
Covid-19 vaccines protect against severe disease and most vaccines used worldwide reduce the risk of infection. However, studies indicate that vaccine protection can diminish over time. In the elderly, it is also the case that the overall immune response is lower after a vaccination. Here, a booster vaccination can significantly increase the protection again. The body produces more antibodies and can thus protect itself even better against the virus. Booster vaccination acts like a strengthener for the immune system - that is why it is also called booster.
INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE
Evidence-based only.
80% of our members are physicians
Decisions about your health care are important; this includes decisions about whether or not to use complementary treatments. Complementary health approaches include natural products and practices for the mind and body. Natural products include herbs (also known as botanicals), vitamins and minerals, and probiotics. Natural products are widely available, readily available to consumers, and often sold as dietary supplements. Spiritual and physical practices include a large and diverse group of procedures or techniques administered or taught by a trained practitioner or teacher. Examples include yoga, meditation, and acupuncture. Some complementary approaches do not fit neatly into any of the previously mentioned groups, such as the practices of traditional healers, Ayurvedic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, homeopathy, naturopathy, and functional medicine. When considering complementary medicine approaches, it is important to take responsibility for your health by being an informed consumer. Educate yourself and consider what scientific studies have been done on the safety and efficacy of the product or practice that interests you. When looking for a reliable complementary medicine practitioner, you should contact your healthcare provider, a local hospital, or a professional organization that promotes evidence-based medicine, such as us.
YOU NEVER KNOW ENOUGH
We require at least two continuing education courses per year.
Continuous on-the-job training to update and expand medical knowledge and practical skills and to consolidate and further develop professional expertise are part of a doctor's self-conception and professional duties. The goal of continuing education is to improve the quality of treatment on an ongoing basis and thus to ensure a high level of safety in the provision of care for patients. Regular continuing education therefore contributes to quality management. Continuing education can only be successful if, on the one hand, it addresses knowledge gaps and, on the other hand, satisfies the subjective, individually perceived need for continuing education. Self-determined lifelong learning should also maintain and promote professional motivation.
